28: Parenting and Finding Joy in Times of Crisis

I know from experience that parenting is hard, especially in times of high stress, but people are coming together more now than they ever have before.

Taking a step back from rushing to school, work, and activities leaves us with time to communicate and spend time together as a family.  Ask yourself what you can be doing right now to make the best of your current situation.

I know it’s tough when all of your kids are at home fighting with each other and whining about everything.  But hear me out, you can take this time to step up your game and make the best of the time you have with your family.

Make sure to tune in to today’s episode as we talk about quick wins and realistic steps you can take to make your home a little less crazy and start to enjoy some things even in the midst of broken routines and uncertainties.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • How to talk to your children about the virus crisis
  • How to maintain a sense of security and normalcy in your household
  • The value of bringing things back to the basics
  • How you can “take back time” with your kids

I hope this episode inspired you to see the time you have with your kids now as a gift rather than a daunting problem. Don’t stress out about homeschooling and entertaining them all the time. Your kids will be more secure and less anxious if they see you calm and collected.
